As we once again mark International Women's Day, we're focusing on the French government's stance on equality. The country has still yet to have its first female president; the gender pay gap stubbornly hovering at around 16 percent while neighbouring Spain is leading the way on dealing with domestic violence and consent. Annette Young asks Isabelle Lonvis-Rome, the French Minister for Gender Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities why France lags behind on so many fronts.
