Pope Francis is visiting the southern French port city of Marseille to show solidarity with the plight of migrants there. It comes a decade on from a landmark visit to the Italian island of Lampedusa at the start of his papacy, where he condemned the "global indifference" to their suffering. The pontiff has travelled to many migration hotspots in that time, with harsh words for Europeans who, he says, live in a bubble in a "culture of prosperity" that makes them apathetic. In Perspective, we look at whether the words and efforts of Pope Francis have made any difference to those in power. Camille Le Coz is a senior policy analyst at the Migration Policy Institute Think Tank. She's been speaking to FRANCE 24's Gavin Lee.
