Digital training schemes for migrants in Italy

Every year thousands of asylum seekers flee Africa across the Mediterranean Sea. Since January, more than 11,300 migrants have landed in Italy. Some of them continue on towards countries in northern Europe, but others try to start a new life in Italy. Integrating isn’t easy, particularly since many migrants haven’t had the advantages of some of the resources available in the west. A digital training scheme being run in 4 Italian cities aims to help young unaccompanied migrants find jobs and lead an independent life. Palermo in Sicily is one of the cities is one of the cities involved int he project: our correspondent in Italy Natalia Mendoza tells us more.
