'Rich of the Russians to talk about such atrocities, this is the army that gave us Bucha [massacre]'

The US has announced it's sending depleted uranium anti-tank rounds to Ukraine, following Britain's lead in sending the controversial munitions to help Kyiv push through Russian lines in its grueling counteroffensive. Such armor-piercing rounds were developed by the US during the Cold War to destroy Soviet tanks. For in-depth analysis and a deeper perspective on Ukraine's three-month-old counteroffensive, FRANCE 24's Delano D'Souza is joined by Frank Ledwidge, former UK Military Intelligence Officer, Senior Lecturer in Strategy at Portsmouth University and a Visiting Fellow for the Transatlantic Dialogue Centre Think Tank. As Russia cries foul once again against the West for supplying Ukraine with depleted uranium weaponry, threatening further escalation, Mr. Ledwidge counters that "the British and the Americans are following the Russians in this. It's rich of the Russians to talk about such atrocities," he adds. "This is the army that gave us Bucha and the daily slaughter of Ukrainian civilians."
